One journal, many voices. Co-write travel memories, family stories, and shared adventures with the people who actually lived them with you.
Most journaling apps are built for one person, sitting alone. Lugelo was built for the way memories actually happen — many people, many devices, many time zones, all contributing to the same story.
Patented collaboration technology means everyone you invite can add Moments — photos, voice notes, written reflections, video clips — to a single shared journal. Their contributions sync to your phone in real time, threaded together by date and chapter.
The best stories are told by the people who lived them — all of them.
Two people, one story. Whether you're at the beginning of something, building a life together, or marking decades — a shared Lugelo journal becomes the place your relationship lives between the everyday and the photo album.
Couples use Lugelo for honeymoon journals, anniversary collections, pregnancy diaries, long-distance correspondence, and the slow build of an ordinary life that turns out to be the important one. Your partner writes their version of an evening; you write yours. Side by side, the journal carries both.
One entry per year, forever.
Co-written trip journals.
Daily moments across time zones.
A nine-month dual diary.
A family is a story being written by many hands across many decades. Most of it disappears because no one's writing it down. Lugelo makes sure it doesn't.
Invite grandparents, parents, kids, siblings, in-laws — anyone in your family — into a single Lugelo journal. Each contributes the moments they witness, in the format that suits them. Mom might write a paragraph. Dad might record a voice memo. Emma (age 7) might just upload a photo of the cake. All of it weaves into one family story.
New parents documenting baby milestones · grandparents preserving family stories · families across continents staying connected.
Found this from our trip to the coast in 03. You wore that hat for a week straight.

I never told you kids this, but I almost missed that flight. Best decision I ever made was running for it.

Create your first shared journal in under a minute. Free,
no credit card, invite anyone.
How invitations, permissions, devices, and privacy work.
You can invite as many contributors as you want — there's no hard limit on the number of people who can co-write a single Lugelo journal.
Most family or couples journals have 2–8 contributors, but larger group journals (weddings, school reunions, work retreats) can include dozens of voices without any performance issues.
Yes. As the journal owner, you grant permissions per contributor:
View-only — they can read but not add
Contributor — they can read and add on Moments
Editor — they can add Moments, photos, and write entries and make ebooks
You can add or revoke access anytime, and the journal stays completely private to your invited group — never indexed publicly, never visible to other Lugelo users.
Open the journal, tap Share or Invite, and send a link via email, message, or any chat app (WhatsApp, iMessage, etc.).
The invited person follows the link, creates a free Lugelo account if they don't have one (under a minute), and starts contributing Moments immediately.
Yes. One contributor can use iPhone, another Android, another the web at Lugelo.com — everyone sees the same journal in real time.
Contributions sync automatically across iOS, Android, HarmonyOS, web, and the Chrome and Firefox extensions. Cross-platform groups work just like single-platform groups.
They'll be prompted to create a free account when they click your invite link. Sign-up takes under a minute, no credit card required, and they'll land directly inside the journal you invited them to.
The whole flow is designed for grandparents and kids alike — no learning curve, no jargon, no app store hunt.
